AWAY WE GO by Annie McLean
Mixed Media on Wood Panel
Panel: 20 x 25cm [depth 0.5cm]
Framed: 22 x 27cm [depth 1.5cm]
I am very much inspired by the landscape around me and am moved to paint an impression or an expression of my emotion response to the land. This painting was created in my studio entirely from imagination using mixed media (oils and printed paper). I have used a section of sheet music from the melody ‘Away We Go’ (A Tune A Day for Banjo by C Paul Herfurth; Chappell/Boston 1964) in the fence and rocks in the river. Music often stirs images in my mind and on this occasion I could ‘see’ in my mind’s eye a family of hunting birds working the land looking for their meal or just having fun in the air.
This painting is framed in a presentation frame which can be removed easily for reframing. Presentation frame is included in the price of the artwork.
